Women Build

Transforming communities one home at a time
What:

Women Build brings together women (and men) from all walks of life to address safe and affordable housing, while encouraging women to participate in the construction of the home. The funds for construction are raised by Blount County women who serve on our Women Build committee. Since 2005, Blount County women have raised the funds and constructed a new home for a qualified, mortgage-ready family every other year!  What an accomplishment! Committee members also organize and coordinate volunteers for the build. Previous constriction experience is not necessary to volunteer; volunteers will work along side our construction staff, volunteer team leaders, and the buyer of the home to complete construction.

Where:

The 2017 Women Build home is located at 231 W Newcomen Street, Alcoa

When:

Construction is underway currently!
