Every buyer must complete homebuyer education. Buyers learn about homeownership and money management and begin to earn their sweat equity. We want you to succeed, so we will spend a lot of time together preparing for your life as a homeowner.
Buyers use a bi-monthly education calendar (that is posted to this website), homebuyer education syllabus, and the homebuyer course tracker to manage the completion of their education requirements. These resources are provided by and monitored by the Family Services Department.
The program is organized into 3 phases to make it manageable for buyers: Homeownership Program Pre-Approval, Loan Pre-Approval, and Construction to Closing (when you purchase the house from BCHfH).
